Reflexology is a holistic therapy that aims to help you achieve a good sense of well being and good health; as it helps the body to relax and rebalance.
This ancient therapy can be done on hands, feet or face, facial reflexology. Pressure is applied to reflex points of the hand, face or feet, which correspond to different parts of the body, therefore stimulating those organs to re-balance.
What are the benefits?

Fertility Reflexology, Reflexology aiding conception
Regular Reflexology treatments can help you relax, during your journey to conception. I believe that both partners need support in this journey, as it can affect both men and women, therefore I will work with both partners and discuss how to proceed. After an initial consultation, which will include discussing your menstrual cycle, diet, lifestyle, stress levels and medical tests; I will make a holistic treatment plan tailored to your needs. If you are trying to get pregnant naturally it is recommended that you receive weekly treatments for up to 3 months in order to balance all of your body systems.
The treatment plan, including protocols from "Reflexology aiding Conception", will be discussed with you. The treatment plane will be guided by your cycle ie frequency and which reflexes to treat at which stage, this is because reflexology can support ovulation as well as implantation. An aftercare plan will be discussed with you , which may include some small changes to your lifestyle, diet, and advice on how to manage stress and improve your health and well-being.
Do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. I would love to work with you and support you on the journey to conception.
Reflexology and the Older Client
The benefits of reflexology are extended to all ages. Those on their golden age can also benefit from reflexology treatments, as reflexology may help you manage multiple conditions and possible side effect from medication, by helping you to relax and rebalance. A treatment plan will consider the person, and it will aim to improve your relaxation and therefore your sense of well-being.
Reflexology has been very important to my elderly clients, it has helped them to relax, it gives them a focus for their day and also to carry out the self-help exercises, they are left with to do by themselves in between treatments. I love working with people in their golden age, helping them to manage their conditions and also to listen to their stories, their views. They are fantastic teachers.
During a VRT reflexogy treatment I will work on your weight-bearing feet and hands for a few minutes to stimulate reflexes, this may help accelerate the healing processes brought about in conjunction with early reflexology treatments. The client then lies on a couch and relaxes for their classical reflexology session which also incorporates new techniques from the VRT repertoire.
A course of weekly treatments are usually needed before the body’s mechanism is stimulated enough to bring about a definitive change in a condition.
Some clients may notice an improved sense of well-being almost immediately. Once health is regained, regular visits to maintain good state of health and well-being are recommend. periodic visits are recommended as a preventative measure to balance and harmonise the body.
"There have been some positive research projects carried out with reflexology; however, as yet, there is not a large enough body of evidence for us to make clinical claims of effectiveness." Lynn Booth
VRT reflexology has helped me manage a lower back condition, using self-help techniques. I love using VRT and its benefits.
